LOL i'm guessing none of you were at bukhari house tonight :D the imam went on a half hour rant about how we CANT use calculation methods to work out when eid is, the only way we will know is if they sight the moon tomorrow night...

Sheikh Omar El Banna. Yes, he was saying yesterday night as i heard, that we cannot use calculations to set a specific day for eid. Right now they are moonsighting so we can only know in a few hrs...and for that matter, tomorrow might be another day of ramadan:)

Is there any phone number or someone to contact in order to let us know if eid confirmed on sunday or not??

Please provide the number and contact name if it is available. I appreciate it.

I will be receiving a few SMS's from some islamic organisations (e.g. ASWJ, Daar Aisha college, Bukhari House) who are all doing moonsighting tonight. So iA will let u know as soon as i recieve something:)

Sigh, I haven't had a eid like this in a very long time. Alhamdulillah it was so beautiful :) INshaAllah it was as beautiful for the rest of you. And I wonder if anybody is nerdy enough to be goin to uni today... :p

I get surprised from people who say "it doesn't even feel like Eid" :confused: How can it not feel like eid?

lool..poooor baby. Well, I hope you enjoyed learning about drugs inside a smelly old classroom, while I was carving my name in the beautiful white sand of brighton :p. Haha...I gave a burial to a bee that was dead, I put a nice headstone and all...but the water washed the grave away...I was rather heartbroken :(.

lolz just gt bak frm luna park- hehe was awesome- xcept wen gt on dat ship kinda thing nd stopped me upside dwn in mid sky nd while i slowly slipped- started doin shahadah- but overall all gd. inshallah there was plans 4 2mrw to go movies and sizzler- but remebered i gt a lab 1-4, unless....

U have to give it to them that eid here IS NO WHERE NEAR eid in ur homeland...:( it gets rather 'dead' here

actually ive experienced eid overseas, i like here better. Over there the 1st day the ladies stay at home and the men go around visiting family. which is kind of sad because you get really bored. But the best thing about Eid overseas is the night before, they stay up till fajr in the shops making their eid shopping :p The streets are soooo packed and full of life (completly opposite to what we have here :o)

but walla, we make more $$$ overseas with so much extended family :P

lol im only kidding, i wayyyyyy prefer eid here too. when you're overseas, it's like people are...i dunno, over it or something. it's not special to them anymore, whereas here we always feel like we're surrounded by western holidays and traditions, so when our own eid comes around we feel so excited for it

yeah true, wen went overseas they celbrated NYE more then eid, its like a time to gt cashed up only to em, however wat i like bout there, is well in my day3a they used to have this masira- walk where they would walk from beg to end of the day3a chantin the eid chant, also they would get a nasheed grp to sing for us at the end.

lol...so tru me dear sis...there is no barakh in time anymore....thats why we shuold all make dua during fajr assking for barakah in our time because srsly its flying:(
